Bidaiatzen is written by one person and sustained by actual trips. Despite care, errors occur — miscalculated distances, outdated hours, wrong attributions. This page describes how they are handled.
How to report a correction
Email hola@bidaiatzen.com with:
- Post URL or exact title.
- Affected passage (sentence or paragraph).
- Nature of the error (incorrect date, outdated fact, attribution, spelling, broken link, etc.).

Corrections are reviewed within 5 business days.
How it is handled
By severity:
| Type | Action |
|---|---|
| Minor erratum (spelling, broken link, cosmetic data) | Silent correction. dateModified refreshed. |
| Substantive fact (distance, historical date, authorship attribution) | Correction + visible note at the end of the post indicating what was corrected and when. |
| Change invalidating the post’s conclusion (closed place, cancelled route, obsolete recommendation) | Correction + visible note at the top of the post + meta description update if applicable. |
| Serious verification error | Public retraction of the passage + explanatory note + review of the editorial process. |
Corrections are kept in the post’s history; they are not deleted.
What is NOT a correction
- Difference of opinion on whether a destination is worth it: debate is welcome; the published opinion is not modified unless the author changes it after a new visit.
- Photography removal requests: if a recognisable person appears in an image and requests its removal, action is taken according to the privacy policy (see
/privacy/). - Removal requests from third parties with commercial interests: rejected unless they provide a demonstrable legal basis.
